Online second-hand shoppers are very particular! We've learnt that they favour brands that they know and love, so that they can trust the quality of the item and are familiar with its sizing.
That's why we specialise in recognisable brands in new or excellent condition.
But please be assured that this doesn't just mean designer brands. Our sweet spot is premium brands (see below for examples) and we also love to sell everyday high street brands, but these must be in new or excellent condition.
Example High Street brands
We love to sell everyday high street brands, but these items must be in excellent/like-new condition with zero defects.
Note that "Basics" items do not usually pass our quality control as these can be bought first-hand without much expense for the shopper.
- Topshop, Zara, H&M, New Look, Asos, River Island, Next, Forever 21
Example Premium brands
This is our sweet spot! As long as these items do not have major defects or signs of wear, we will upload these as fast as we can because we know they fly off the shelves!
- All Saints, Whistles, Cos, & Other Stories, Levis, Diesel, Boden, French Connection
Example Designer brands
Second-hand designer items are often in high demand and so are the ideal items to send to Thrift+. Because we know they sell, these items are accepted even when used or with minor defects. Of course, we make known any marks or issues on the listing for the shopper to see.
- PAROSH, Gucci, Alice Temperley, Kenzo, Chloe, Versace, Stella McCartney
What we do not accept
There are certain low-end brands that people simply don't shop for online so these items will not pass our quality control. Examples include:
- George, Tu, F&F, Primark (Atmosphere/Cedar Wood), Boohoo (and Boohoo Men's)
We are also unable to accept:
- Anything that does not have a label
- Unbranded items or unrecognisable brands
- Counterfeit items
Remember that the higher your item sells for, the bigger the impact it will have for your chosen charity - and the more you'll receive in credits!
