Which brands do you accept?

We specialise in recognisable brands so our shoppers know that they can trust the quality of the item and are familiar with the sizing.

Our sweet spot is premium and designer brands. We can also accept approved high street brands but these must be in new or excellent condition.

High street brands

Examples

✅ Boden, Topshop, Asos, Zara, Fat Face, White Stuff, Superdry, Hollister, Mango, H&M, Next, M&S, New Look, Boohoo

❌ Primark, Tui, George

Whether we accept lower-priced high-street clothes will be at the discretion of our Thrifters. If an item is likely to sell for less then £5, it may be rejected.

Accepted condition

Items must be in like-new condition with zero defects. Please note we cannot send back items which are not accepted - these will be donated to charity.

Thrift+ top tip
We assess the estimated RRP value of an item and its second-hand desirability. "Basic" items do not usually pass our quality control as shoppers can easily buy these very cheaply new rather than second-hand.

Premium brands

Examples
✅&Other Stories, Whistles, COS, Hobbs, Phase Eight, Reiss, The North Face, Levi's, Diesel, AllSaints, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, DKNY, Boden, Superdry, French Connection, Adidas, Monsoon, Ted Baker, Jigsaw

Accepted condition
Good and above. Items without defects or significant signs of wear will be accepted.

Thrift+ top tip
Premium brands are our absolute sweet spot as they sell quickly for a great price. Please fill up your ThriftBag with these brands!

Designer brands

Examples
✅ Kenzo, Chloe, Versace, Stella McCartney, Burberry, Missoni, Prada, Gucci, Moschino, Acne Studios, Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons, PAROSH
❌ Small boutique designers

Accepted condition
Fair and above. Items with minor defects or signs of wear will be accepted.

Thrift+ top tip
Please be particularly careful with these designer items to ensure they are authentic. Due to strict selling regulations online, we may require proof of purchase before we can sell these items.

Items we cannot accept

Low-end brands
Examples

❌ George, Tu, F&F
❌ Primark (Atmosphere/Cedar Wood)

Why is this?
There are certain low-end brands that people simply don't shop for second-hand, so these items will not pass our quality control.

We are also unable to accept:

  • Items without their brand label
  • Unbranded items or unrecognisable brands
  • Counterfeit items

Thrift+ top tip
Remember that the higher your item sells for, the bigger the impact it will have for your chosen charity - and the more you'll receive in credits.

So quality is everything!
